In the course you will learnt he fundamental elements of coffee roasting. You will roast 3 different coffees on the Aillio Bullet roaster under the guidance of the Black Market Coffee head roaster. You will learn how to cup and analyse the flavours in the coffees you have roasted so that you can make future improvements. You will get to take home the coffee you have roasted so that you can share it with your friends and family.

  • Black Market Training is one of Australia’s leading barista training schools, focused on specialty coffee education. We offer hands-on, accredited courses for all levels — from complete beginners to experienced baristas looking to refine their skills.

  • We accept student aged 14 or over. We have a specific course for school students called the 2-Day School Holiday Bootcamp that runs every school holidays, however, students aged 14 or over are welcome at any of our courses.

  • Unfortunately, our Marrickville cafe is closed. However, you can still stop by to say hi and buy some beans!
